Hot Fudge Sauce

Make this ahead of time and it will keep a couple of weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator, unless of course it all gets eaten. Heat up as much as you need at a time. Use it on ice cream, brownies, anything that makes you happy.

MAKES 1 CUP

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons margarine

6 tablespoons cocoa

⅓ cup boiling water

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla

. . . . . . . .

Instructions:

▪ Melt the margarine in a small saucepan on low heat.

▪ Add the cocoa and stir to blend thoroughly.

▪ Add the boiling water and stir until it mixes smoothly with the chocolate.

▪ Add the sugar and corn syrup and stir well.

▪ Adjust the heat to a low simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat.

▪ Stir in the vanilla.

▪ Use while still warm or store refrigerated in an airtight container, warming as much as you need when you are ready to use it. You can reheat it in a saucepan on low heat, or microwave it for a few seconds at a time.
